if you go to london, and you drink hard cider, try scrumpy jack. it was my favorite- i lived in london for a few months back in 95, before hard cider became a fad in the states and loved the cider there cause i have a slight wheat allergy that makes drinking beer less than fun and i like carbonated party drinks, but am not really a fan of zima, despite going to high school in memphis.
anyway, scrumpy jack would fit in with 2 of your recent themes- it is british and the brits would probably tell you it is for white trash- not the classy stuff, but i really liked it better than a lot of the stuff on tap over there.
if you like cider, and find yourself in oxford, try a pint at the eagle and child pub. very tasty but also strong so be warned. and the pub has a lot of history. the other post trying to lure you to new zealand with the promise of hobbits missed the mark- the hobbits hang at the bird and baby (eagle and child)- not that that is the reason to go...
