Bonnie, I'm a good judge of character and I believe that you are a character - in the very best sense of the word. You have a sense of wonder and energy that is truly unique & special. And you can write! That sense of wonder and exploration is probably what attracts you to the mysterious types. You just need to adjust your antennae to tune out the undesirable creatures that appear to be human but are some other undescribed species that are best left in their own worlds.
