| You will be very happy because you just receive such a big money. -------- you just receive such a big amount of money.... ^_^ |
|
There are a lot of people been cheated by criminals in Taiwan. The
techniques of deception are smarter day by day. They use mail, telephone, and
cell phone message to defraud of your money. They give you some “win a prize” information
to make you trust that you hit the jackpot. If you trust them and call them
back, they will tell you to operate the ATM to transfer money in to your
accruement. You will be very happy because you just receive such a big money.
However, the truth is totally different from what you think. The money is,
actually, transferred from your account to the criminal’s. You finally find you
have been cheated, but it’s too late.

| Some blamed on the technology and said high-tech makes criminals easy to cheated ---( cheat ) our money and hard (difficult??) to be caught. |
|
This kind of case is emerging in an endless stream. Some blamed on
the technology and said high-tech makes criminals easy to cheated our money and
hard to be caught. Nevertheless, I find that the most important of the raising
rate of deception is because of our greed. The high-tech devices, certainly, let
victims hard to detect what is going on and fall into the trap set by
criminals, but the main reason for being cheated is our greedy mind. If we
don’t have an inordinate desire for easy money, you won’t trust the advertisement
and won’t be deceived.

| There are too many cases proof that been (being) deceived or not have (having) nothing to do with people’s educational background. Several days ago, one associate professor had already been cheated for 70000 NT dollars (NT$ 70000) by (is through better????) ATM transferring. And other case is about a Buddhist nun. She also had been cheated for 430000 NT dollars (NT$ 430000)by similar trick. |

| people lack of (no "of" i think...) basic knowledge of some high-tech devices they use every day. But a lot of people do not know that use ATM can only transfer money out of their account. (people can only transfer money out of their account by using the ATM.) |
|
Beside the greedy, the other problem for the rampant deception is
that people lack of basic knowledge of some high-tech devices they use every
day. The ATM is a very good example. Almost everyone who saves money in the
bank has at least one ATM card. But a lot of people do not know that use ATM
can only transfer money out of their account. Transferring money in is
impossible. If we have this kind of basic knowledge, most of deceptions can be
prevented.
6 What is deception? My definition is “use your mind to cheat your property”.
That means people also have their own responsibility if they are deceived. If
we can have less greedy and care more about our daily using technology, the
criminals don’t have the chance to deceive us and we don’t have to worry about
losing money anymore.
