Was the cheater behind Lady Chatterly's Lover. In his new biography, The Life of An Outsider, John Worthen claims that Lawrence's inability to have sex drove his wife Frieda (were they all named Frieda back then?) into the arms of an Italian soldier. Nice theory, but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who have partners raring to go who fling themselves willingly into the arms of Italian soldiers. They're ITALIAN!
