Please let me help you start this one off:
Bissacco et al. use an interesting approach to determining the "distance" between gaits. Specifically, they use "principal angles" between the subspaces of each model.

In what way does this method differ from an naive but intuitive approach?

Also, what do you think is the reasoning behind choosing this approach?

(I only know for sure the answer to the first question)
