Checking in re: the Catalina Trip. Things are coming together successfully! Francesca and I should be arriving Tues. evening at Alamitos Bay, hoping to get away (like last year) with sleeping a few hours in the parking area and launching early Weds. For the potluck, in the past I've brought something for dessert, will that be okay again this year?

OK guys & gals, its POTLUCK RODEO time again.
As you all know Potter Potlucks are true potlucks, we eat what you bring. Again this year International Marine is gratuitously providing the barbeque meats. We will have steak, hamburger patties and hot dogs. Everyone is responsible for his or her own place settings and beverage. Captain & Mrs. Howie will bring the champagne (& faux champagne) for the annual toast.
In addition to traditional side dishes, salads and deserts here are a few other things that would be good to have: Two bags of charcoal, lighter fluid, barbeque tongs & tools Burger & hot dog buns, catsup, mustard, lettuce, sliced tomatoes & onions Olives, vegies, pickles and other salty snackables Table clothes, centerpieces and chandeliers; does anyone play the accordion? Anything else you can think of.
Post your preferences here on the Message Board for all to read or we might just wind up with 20 bags of charcoal?

I will be joining the bunch to Catalina again. Be at both potlucks as well. I'm going to be staying at the string line as usual as opposed to Cat Harbor.

Anne Westlund sent me a new article about one of her voyages in "Peapot". I believe you will enjoy reading it. It is entitled "Adventures at Mad Cove". You can view it here: http://www.wwpotterowners.com/Anne4.html Bill

Debbie and I spent the afternoon performing sea trials with the Sport-Yak for the Catalina trip. She pulls very nice, and we successfully boarded her without mishap. She has been certified for the trip, and another detail has been put to rest.
The Texas-200 is now over, seen some pictures of Dan Roger's "Ladybug". Dan, if your out there pipe in and give us a report.

For those of you who do not read the Trailer Sailor Potter Forum, I have posted the story of Skipper Eric sailing his P-19 Wind Waker for 5-days during the Texas 200. Good interesting read with some great photos about this tough event. You can read it here: http://www.wwpotterowners.com/SailingStories43.htmlBill

Hi Captain Howie...looks like Greg and I won't be going on the Catalina trip after all on our cal25. Just too many details too soon. Well...maybe next year. I know you will have fun and do have a safe and fun outing.

It appears that the MapService Program is unstable and will not work properly for the majority of the viewers, nor will it work properly the same way each time when John try's to enter data.
So far now the Program has been pulled from my web site until a later date when it has been determined that the program will work consistently the right way for everyone.
John has offered to add the name of everyone to the maps. I admire his zest, but there is no way he can input the hundreds and hundreds of names.
John has worked very hard on this project and is blameless in the failure of the program to work as advertised.
I apologize for the inconvenience and wasted effort.

Howie......Check off Debbie and I for the Pot-Luck's. Matt.....Got the new radio working GREAT! Turned out to be an open ground in the lighting circuit! I was pulling out my hair trying to figure it out! Debbie and I will be down at Mission Bay Tuesday practicing getting in and out of the Sport-Yak from the boat. We need to get our game plan right, don't want to look like an idiot with all the camera's watching.
Boy we can't wait!!!
