Lucas, my understanding is that it is Thursday beginning around 4:30 or 5:00, and then all day Friday. It would be wonderful if you and Kathi could represent us and report findings at our May meeting.

I wish that I could attend, but I am already out of school on Thursday for a prior commitment and have another staff development obligation at school on Friday.

Will the PLC group still be meeting Thursday afternoon?

I can attend if enough others are able to. Either way is fine with me.

Kim, did you tell me at the March meeting that you would be out of town on the 23rd?

I have heard from only two people about our meeting on Thursday, April 23. Please let me know ASAP what you want to do. So far, 2 will be attending the "Deepening the Discussion" sessions, 2 cannot be there at all, and I probably will not be there as I need to meet with the glass replacement man about windows that were broken in last week's hailstorm, and I think Thursday is the only day he can come (Life with broken windows is no fun!).
Please let me know what you want to do. I need to know no later than Tuesday.
Thanks,
Dawn

Hopefully you all will finish out the year with your meetings. I know that getting a stipend is not why you are a part of this group. That being said, I will understand if you decide not to meet.

Due to a mandatory meeting, I will not be able to be at the April meeting anyway. Just let me know what you decide for May. Anything suits me. Elaine

Good morning, everyone. As you know, money is frozen and all meetings will be on a volunteer basis until further notice. I also do not know if we would be able to meet at the Broyhill as there is a charge for those meeting rooms.
Our next meeting is scheduled for April 23. We were planning to create our list of world lit books for Linda to order. The mini-grant has been frozen as has reimbursement for travel/meeting attendance. Do we still want to meet?
Here are two possiblities (if anyone else has a suggestion, please share it):
1. Meet as usual on a volunteer basis and put together our list which will be used if and when the funds are unfrozen.
2. Since the 23rd is the first day of the Deepening the Dialogue sessions, cancel our meeting and just let Lucas and Kathi attend the workshop, then report on the results in May. We would probably have to meet on a volunteer basis in May as well, but by then we might know something about the frozen funds for our mini-grant.
Please let me know what you want to do, and please let me know as soon as possible. If we decide not to meet, I will need to let Susan know so she can cancel our meeting room (if it has not been done already).
Thanks,
Dawn

Kathi, Someone asked this question on the facilitators list, and Linda said that the Deepening the Dialogue workshop came from grant money, so it was not affected by the freeze. I am assuming that everything is still on for that.
