You'll get no argument from me there. I'm not sure why Lieberman even calls himself a Democrat anymore. He's trying to pull a Clinton and
move to the middle. The trouble is, he lacks the personality and charm of Clinton to pull it off.
Clinton, by the way, created the National Nanotechnology Initiative, and funding increased under Bush. So far, nanotech spending has enjoyed bipartisan support. Is that going to change now that environmental concerns have been raised? Is there going to be a battle over how nanotech spending will be allocated (defense vs. environmental research?). Anybody know where the Green Party and Ralph Nader stand on nano?
