I have just aquired a multi line digital Rabbit phone. The batteries have been removed and the terminals soldered. The handset will not register to the base, any ideas on how to make it work please???

One thing worth testing before you put it away, would be the condition of those rechargeable batteries...
I seriously doubt they'll work. Best to make sure now, rather than risk having them explode when some innocent plugs it all together in ten years from now...

I think BT are introducing a modern equivalent. It's a phone which uses Bluetooth to connect to your LAN whilst you're at home or in the office. When you are out of range, it falls back to the standard GSM service from O2.
When I read about it my thoughts were 'Hang on a minute, it's Rabbit all over again!' :-)

I was reminded of the Rabbit because of a special offer in Toys R Us for the http://www.cybikoxtreme.com/uk/support/specs.asp Cybiko - a self-organising wireless game playing machine, which links up with any others in the area. Apparently (I haven't been to a store) there's a "buy one, get one free" deal for 30 quid... nostalgic as seeing Rabbits, for me.
