Hi Elaine, Chris L said to give you a virtul elephant stamp for a) keeping your bugs at home and b) still working even though you are sick. He came back to work today and was sparky at the beginning of the day but had a headach at the end. Guess the place does that to you. Anyway hope you feel well enough to enjoy staying at home but not well enough to come to work untill it is too late on Friday.

Thanks Pamela and Chris, mine's not that bad Pamela, no aches so far, (My usual run of symptoms is sore throat so it's sore to swallow, followed by drippy nose and sneezes, which then leads into cough which hopefully *doesn't* last long. I'm just moving from drippy into cough at the moment.) But yes. Still no point in giving it to other people since I can do most of my work just as well from here. Besides, it's spooky up where my office is, hardly anyone about (popped in on Monday morning to demonstrate my reasons for working from home)

The cold was probably me, Elaine - those sound like my symptoms too. Very sorry. Ooh - do you receive the Flypaper yet? Email me at greg@courtrecording.com.au and I'll add you to the mailing list.

Doubt it. What's the flypaper?
I seem to be managing to weather the cold without overdoing the sudafed though :)
Might have been something else though, Andrew's sister got sick too, lots of lurgi going around.

Another of the managers here went down with the dreaded lurgi yesterday - have you been to the Zoo recently Greg and spread your germs here too?

The Flypaper is news and humour and gossip (an e-zine) done by me every Wednesday. It features stuff about Perth people and whatnot (mostly thanks to Dave Cake and Lily and a few others) as well as Canberra people. If you want in, mail me at greg@courtrecording.com.au

See you at Genghis Con on Saturday morning, Elaine. I'm part of the expert panel (bwahahah!!) on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 at 10am.
Leece, Rob and I acknowledge that we are sad fans, having won the GC quiz night 3 years in a row.

I'm surviving the heat - just. I wish I sweated nicely, like all those young things doing aerobics and other pointless wastes of time seem to be able to do.
Why do I just go red in the face with stringy hair?
*sigh*

Back in the late 80's I worked for the then Minister for Works and Services. One of the perks was a free trip to the Observatory, which fell into her portfolio, complete with a go on the big telescope and food and drinkies.
The staff used to have a photo of the Enterprise on their wall and they'd joke that they took the pic one night.
For some of my fellow workers it was their first look through a telescope and they were awestruck. Couldn't get the buggers off!

I hope you're giving guided tours of your bruises - they certainly sound interesting.
"And this is where I hit the bitumen. And this lovely yellow patch here is where the speedhump got me..."
Get better soon, eh?

Thanks Pamela, It's more a case of, 'And this bit on my elbow is friction burn from my sweater-encased arm hitting the bitumen' and 'this bruise is apparently from hitting the handlebar when I went over' I've no broken bones, and I'm seeing a dentist about my tooth today.

Hi Elaine! The last time I defrosted my freezer I found some tiny mountaineers and their Sherpa guides setting up a base camp before tackling the North side of the Great Lump of Ice.

Well, I am desperately curious to know where you got your Jonathon Creek DVDs. I just tried Ezy DVD.com - nothing.
And Impact is about to close...
