It's always gratifying to know that someone actually reads my blog. Grin! I think it's great when the core of all my worries comes down to the lack of little pickling salt. It illustrates that my time here in Wisconsin has been well spent. In two weeks I will return to Arizona and will remember all the care and worryfree time spent here in the northwoods. God's Country. I only hope that I've stored up enough peace to last me the winter months in Arizona. I hope as I gaze longingly at my screen-saver (a picture taken here in Wisconsin)while I sit back in Arizona dreaming of next summer. I'll be able to stay longer next summer. God willing.

Maybe you can give me some pointers. I'd always been at least a lukewarm defender of the evil empire, but with the introduction of the extortion that is Windows XP activation, I'm having second, third, fourth, fifth (and so on...) thoughts. Gee, who wouldn't want to spend $200 to upgrade an obsolete computer!
I suppose I should count my blessings. At least I don't have a pickling salt crisis on my hands.

ROTFLMAO Yeesh. I'm actually in the middle of teaching myself Linux. Took some UNIX in school. It was like learning a different language. I had spoken "DOS" for so long that when it was time to learn UNIX I got a bit confused... sorta like when I took Spanish for 2 years and then spontaneously decided to take a semester of French. "Aqui" and "a qui" sound exactly the same but mean two completely different things. I'm afraid my french professor got some really confused looks from me on the oral quizzes from time to time *L*.

FWIW, I'm OS/2 Warp. Not sure what that means, although perhaps the warp makes some sense.

Well, lets put it this way. This is, after all, about religion, isnt it? If Windows users are Lutherans (salt of the earth, generally accepting of other viewpoints), then Mac users are Catholics (substantially less doctrinally flexible). Linux users, therefore, are the Islamic fundamentalists of the computing world (strident, fanatic, insufferable). Hope that clarifies it for you.
Not to say that I might not some day join them…

Well the "discuss" link wasn't working for your previous post so I'll discuss here.
What about Linux? I posted a quiz that you might enjoy on my blog *L*.
