There were about 200 at the main Atlanta meetup, at Manuel's Tavern. I was pleasantly surprised at how many were from outside the 285 Perimeter Highway (suburbanites) and how anxious they were to have their own Meetups.

I encouraged that. It's vital that we break these things down. Do everything we can to make them smaller, more intimate, so everyone who comes gets validated and treated as an individual, not just part of a group.

I also visited the Decatur, Georgia Meetup at Ashton's, a coffee shop. IT was just breaking up. Only about 70 total, but hey, it was a coffee shop. Families with kids. Calmer. But just as determined.

Next month, I cried, "to the suburbs." That should be our motto. Take this to so-called "Republican" neighborhoods.
