How do you find a good apartment in Kaohsiung, Taiwan downtown? I'm an American teaching English, but my current residence is pretty bad. By the way, your web site is awesome!

Hi there ~
This is Jill's friend, Lindsey! Since I come to your site almost every day to check in and see what the two of you have been up to, I thought I would just drop a quick note! Hope all is well and tell Jill I say hi! ~ Lindsey

People go absolutely nuts when they hear of the government relaxing controls on environmental pollutants, they want more controls placed on processes that pollute the land, water and air, yet they consider it their right to pollute the hell out of their surroundings and others are supposed to bow to that "it's my right" thing.

Companies found responsible for polluting land and water are subject to lawsuits and slammed for infringing on citizens' rights to live in a healthy environment, but if individuals want to puff their lungs out and subject those around them to (for the sake of argument) debatably hazardous substances in high concentration, that's supposed to be OK?

A governmental initiative like has the potential to selectively squash small business, so I'm against the ban for this reason, but the 'smokers' rights' argument baffles me.
