Hello everyone

There is a Halloween party coming up as a fund raiser for an Afghan girl who has to have two hips replaced to enable her to walk properly. The party will be held at a restaurant in Kabul .. Fun Mexican
location. If you wish info on the party or wish to donate prizes etc please e-mail your details and I will pass it to the organizers. I do not wish to put all their details up online or the actual location but all will be revealed directly if you pass me your e-mail. The girl has lost her family to the Talibs and cannot ever get married unless she has this operation and we are trying to raise $10k to send her to India for the operation.

Hi,

one of my Afghan female collegues asked me for help:

She is looking for a TOEFL experienced teacher m/f (Native or Afghan-American etc.) who has time to give private lessons. At least 2 times a week for 2 hours a day.

The lessons should be for three months in order to prepare her for the TOEFL exam. Her English is already good. The last TOEFL exam she gave was around 450 one year ago.

Ideal for two people sharing or one person taking the whole "apartment".
Rent: If two people move in, 300$ / person / month + shared electricity costs, if one person is moving in, 500$ / month + shared electricity costs (shouldn't exceed 50$ / month);

A very good friend of mine is leaving Kabul today. His house will be vacant for rent. The house comes with the following features:

1. 4 living rooms and bathrooms (furnished)
2. 1 Kitchen (fully equipped)
3. Electric Heaters in all rooms and a nice siemens washing machine, fridge and water dispenser
4. All rooms carpeted

The house is an old styled afghan villa nice and cozy, the landlord lady lives alone in one section of the villa totally separated from the one for rent. The landlady is only renting the place to couples or females only. The villa is adjacent to attorney general's house in shar-e-naw. No security guards needed as the whole area is secure and roads are blocked. Quite neighborhood.
The rent is between $1500 to $2000. Since the villa is totally renovated, you dont need to spend anything on the house plus it is almost furnished. In case you are interested, call me to arrange a meeting with the landlady at 0708000011.
