There have been some stories recently of people arriving in Dubai and being arrested for having tablets and drugs on them, prescription and non-prescription.

The information below might help. You can check the list of 374 items banned in Dubai at the following website:

AVAILABLE NOW: THE SIXTH EDITION OF THE
A TO Z GUIDE TO AFGHANISTAN ASSISTANCE
Understanding the aid structures, government

The A to Z Guide to Afghanistan Assistance
aims to ensure a shared vocabulary and foster
common understanding of the forces at play.
The flagship publication of the Afghanistan Research
and Evaluation Unit (AREU), The A to Z
Guide provides an extensive glossary of assistance
terms, an overview of Afghanistan’s system of
government, a series of country and city maps,
key primary documents, and an extensive contact
directory including government entities, NGOs,
donors and international actors.
Hard copies of the Sixth Edition of The A to Z Guide to Afghanistan Assistance are
available for purchase (500 Afs) at the AREU office on Flower Street in Kabul. Soft
copies can be downloaded for free from www.areu.org.af. Dari and Pashto versions
will be available free of charge in late April 2008.

organisation based in Kabul. AREU’s mission is to conduct high-quality research

Ross Kemp in Afghanistan DVD now available from Amazon!

Synopsis
In this critically acclaimed series Ross Kemp joins his father's old regiment, 1 Royal Anglian, and travels to Britain's frontline in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, to experience for himself the British Army's fight against the Taliban.

Filmed during the summer of 2007, Ross dodges the bullets to witness and endure the worst fighting British troops have suffered for over fifty years.

Candid and brutally honest, this series is the first on UK television to show in detail what our soldiers are doing to win peace in this war torn land. Extraordinary battle scenes show us in close up the brutality of war. Off the battlefield we find out what a soldier's life is like and why they continue to fight this fanatical enemy. And with exclusive footage, we tell the stories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with powerful and moving interviews from relatives bereaving the loss of their sons.

This hard hitting and thought provoking series of 5 programmes is Ross' most difficult assignment to date.

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s refusal to accept Paddy Ashdown as the United Nation’s ‘super envoy’ raises questions about the future of that mission, and more generally the difficulty of post-conflict peace-building.

English speaking driver with two years+ experience of driving in Kabul and throughout the Country will shortly be requiring a new post. He is well spoken, reliable, trustworthy, flexible, able to maintain the car and carry out other duties when required.

Afghan licensed armed guard available for shift duty. Trust worthy and reliable and cunningly sleepy looking but experience proved in the May 06 riots that he is willing to do his job when put to the test and stand his ground.
