nothing sounds crazy about a great, warm, washing toilet-lol. Just visted my grandparent's for the holiday and my GRANDFATHER installed their own toto toilet like http://www.performancetoilets.com/index.asp?source=elf. Grandma really liked the people and how helpful they were- which is an immense compliment from her (think Scrooge!). She showed the toto toilet to the whole family, and then insisted we try it ourselves! I would love to have one- and nix the paper forever!

This *sounds* a bit like something you might not want to hear but these toilets are a godsend for those of you who get a mild case of constipation every once in a while. (don't we all?... anyways) Many models of toilets in japan have heated seats, water temperature adjusters, water pressure adjusters (the best part), a blowdryer for your tush, a built in bidet function, and of course an position adjuster for the washlet water spring head. If you ever have a case of constipation, the nozzle's pressure is just turned up and placed at the right angle and SHooom! out goes all of that pushing nonsense. Just shoots the poop right out from your butt. Personally, I wish I had one here in the States. No more of that bowel straining for me.

...

All I can say is that I certainly hope that thing includes a water heater somewhere.

I used one of these gizmoes while visiting Japan, and after you get used to it - it's a bit weird at first - they're really quite nice.

Washlet aside, Toto makes the best-engineered, most reliable toilets on earth, bar none. They're well worth the money if you're renovating a bathroom, or replacing "high flush" models. The "soft close" lid is neat, too.

I particularly appreciated the "tell a friend" link. Since I don't normally see that portion of my friends, I wonder how to choose the friend to tell?

Yet another way to make life during blackouts less like regular

Funniest thing I never saw... :-) We've found the missing link, it seems.
