the alledged loss of the record industry because of p2p has yet to be proved. the statements of the music industry have no valid backing. in fact, kodak has suffered exactly the same losses as the RIAA shows in their statistics, without any possiblity to blame p2p.

it has repeatedly been shown that people who do a lot of p2p music downloads also buy more cd´s then the rest. to assume that every downloaded track is one that would have been bought on cd is ridiculous.

the so called "piracy" is happening elsewhere. large-scale copying and distribution of cd's is one of the real culprits.

in the light of these facts, online copying of music is really good for the music industry. and when and if the RIAA stops acting like a bunch of ******, they will see that they could very well profit from it.

A very engaging idea: that knowledge of P2P network activity (to some) might be more valuable than P2P network activity (en-masse).

I guess the Post Office now will start sueing everybody for using e-mail. And the newspaper that I copied an article from and sent to a friend will be suing me. With spam, virus problems, lawyers, music industry etc. etc..... the internet is starting to be not worth it.

If you are reading this you are wordering what I mean by all business is war business. Well when you are in business you need to be serious about the business and if you are serious you need to treat your business as though it is a matter of life and death. You need to make sure you are as engaged as possible and you have to remember that if you let your guard down for even a minuite, you will lose property or ground or position. Any steps you take that is not considered a forward move needs to be eleminated or reduced. General Grant felt that he did not want to ever lose ground and that even if the position of his forces required a back tracking of some sort to reposition his troops, he would find a way to keep from having to recross previously covered groud. This is one of the keys to a sucessful business, you must endevor to always be moving forward and never recross ground. The recrossing of ground should be avoided at all cost. When you don't learn from your mistakes or make the same mistakes again and again then you are losing the advantage of agressive battlefield positioning
