No, please no MySQL. If you embed a standard sub-par database engine, people will start targetting it, when I'd much prefer they'd target either multiple databases or a serious open system like PostgreSQL. MySQL is nice for when you need to do lots of reading and occasional writing (so sure, package it with a specific web server solution, which OS X isn't), but not for doing general database work.
