Hi - Im sticking up for it because Ive used the application and recommended it to several (*definitely* non geeky!) people who found it to be a very practical and productive piece of software - e.g. one person whose job requires presenting a lot was looking into buying a wireless solution until i showed him this - he had the hardware already so for around $10 now has a lest costly more productive presentation tool good of you to give the link - but Id still have to take issue with the way you presented the application - even if you used the word "apparent" (followed by three quite negative terms) i feel it was treated unfairly... i think you were being 'tongue-in-cheek' with some comments? - but to someone reading who doesn't know what it can actually offer it could quite easily put them off even checking it out this might be of interest in relation to the wireless tag system; there is a company called BlueTags who have brought such a Bluetooth offering to market: http://www.bluetags.com/i enjoy your site and catch up regularly - keep up the good work - it's refreshing to get your insight and thoughts on the wireless world all the best, BrianG

Interesting, and worth a follow up; thanks Jim.
"Dub" - well, I'm sure there are enough geeks who like this sort of toy, to make it successful! I suppose part of my problem is that I'm allergic to PowerPoint and similar!
:-)
At least I did give the URL of the site, so people can go make up their own minds... and be fair, I did say "apparently pointless" didn't I?
thanks for contributing...

hi there, didn't have your weetabix this morning Guy ;)
it's a Bluetooth Remote control for the Mac (OS X 10.2+) which interfaces with Apple Script - it can drive and interact with the System and serveral applications like PowerPoint, Keynote (Mac Presentation App), iTunes (MP3 Player), iDVD (DVD Player) and others...
i've used it for many presentations - the latest version 2.0 even feeds info like the slide notes back to the phone /pda display for the current slide on show and an on-screen timer
it works with the Bluetooth enabled SonyEricsson handsets and they also added a Palm Application with version 2.0 to control it from your PDA
your intro is a little harsh - it really is a fantastic application, BrianG

The idea we're working towards is simple: the old Active Badge concept pioneered by Dr Andy Hopper. Would a Bluetooth phone meet the requirement? Well, actually, it might.
