/m121 no; "My Topics" is the fastest way for me to find this one back; and it shows all the recently updated threads. the Fake LV is an interesting one as it is >still alive< --not becuase of the spam, but fomr the weirdness that went before. Buyers complaining about sellers, sellers blaming the customs service, newbies asking where to find fakes, etc. It's evolved into something wholly other than original intention.

Plus, now it's got Message-Board Spam!

Cory does miss dialoguing, I would suspenct--but he probably doesn't miss nasty pictures of him being posted. Hopefully, BB.tribe won't degenerate that far. Although his (in)temper(erate) doesn't help very much.

Some of us have been discussing the guy who sent Cory off on the tangent off-list (and, yeah, this forum isn't private, but it's pretty darn close). Some think he's a fakester-troll just out to rile the masses (or at least Cory). Me, I dunno. Wait & see. He's posted elsewhere.

Hullo, all! good to see you again. Chico, who are you on tribe? Is it obvious and I'm dumb, or am I dumb but it's not obvious?

You just rummage around the archives, right?

Anyway, something so goofily ironic happened on that BB tribenet thingie. Cory, who already has a lovely and interesting forum for his opinions, comes on to the tribenet comment board - a comment board which only exists because he shut down this one - and kind of ragged on somebody who questioned the topic-choices over on the original BB. I mean, it's all good, but he closed the discussion group here and then drives over there to get into that discussion group. If he misses dialoguin' that much, and he's not alone, why not reopen the one here so he could save all that gas?

Unless, or course, it was cory or Kory or whomever.

I was surprised to discover that I was still subscribed to This http://www.quicktopic.com/22/H/EQ5kJVwLcxH/p43.35#QTmsg39
BoingBoing quicktopic the other day... It's not as active as this one, but it's still active. Anyone else still get old topics?

Found it!

Transmetropolitan author Warren Ellis posts on his blog Die Puny Humans that boingboing isn't gone, they're changing hosts.

does anyone know what this is about? There seems to be some discussion of it on tribe.net (at least, it appears that way) but I'm not sure I'm curious enough to actually register at tribe.

When I go on a trip lately, something bad happens to BB. I went to Seattle in September and while I was there, discussions disappeared. I just got back from Chicago and BB is entirely gone. I suppose I should say I'm sorry.

Yup, I noticed that today... haven't been on BB since last week sometime and today... It's GONE!

Guess I'll start drifting elsewhere.

(Can we submit websites to jumptheshark.com?)

The lack of discussion forums doesn't appear to have decreased the sight traffic much:

The Louis Vitton SARS masks thread has been going crazy in the last week with flaming threads from sellers of LV rip-off bags vs. ripped-off customers who had their bags seized by customs.

Cory blogs Everything in Moderation.

which I "blog" here. (yes, this was a pointless exercise in recursion.)

Oh, and the Trolls are still cranky.
