It's the cost that scares you. If BT turns its payphones into hotspots then it could, theoretically, have 100,000 hotspots around the UK.

And the cost can't be much under 500 pounds per hotspot, to install, never mind maintenance. Is that 500 million to convert the lot? Ow...
