not that I doubt the results of this study but it should be duly noted it was commissioned by Yahoo! and Carat Interactive...hardly disinterested parties.

Absolutely, on the multitasking. I mean, I've caught myself talking on speaker phone while working on a program, with Slashdot and a Izzle!Pfaff up in other windows, the TiVo on pause while it is also recording something to watch later ... (had to answer an email, where was I? Oh, yeah) ... so, I'm pretty sure if somone aked me how I spent my time, I'd have to say "immersed."

Sure they are. TV is slowly entering the realm of radio - leave it on in the background and if something catches your attention then turn it up. That is, until, they an all get hand-me-down DVRs from their parents.

Gus, but aren't they all supposed to be multitasking: watching TV, using the web, flicking through a yoof-culture mag (for the pictures) whilst on their mobile?

Between the two, tv and web, then, teens spend about 30 hours a week tubing. Add email to take it up to around 35 or so. Dang near a full time job, goofing off. ;)
