And we've now posted most of the official IEEE bulletin on the ratification of the new standard.

Interestingly it says more about the number of extra users you can serve with the same access point in a hot-spot, than it does about the raw speed itself.

They've ratified the 802.11g standard. They've also appointed a new WiFi Alliance boss.

And his first problem will be to cope with the problems of getting compatibility sorted out for the new standard, as everybody starts upgrading their old Wireless-G devices.
