Good morning to all the fans of the (((Prince of Romance)))! Hey (((Jamel))), I keep forgetting when you edit or delete something it still comes up in the email. LOL. But that goes to show just how much Sisqo does NOT know about the history of REAL R&B and the importance of the male falsetto voice. That's the problem with a lot of R&B singers now, they have no respect for those who came before them. There are some that do, but it seems like they are more interested in biting the style of someone else than to create a style of their own.

As far as selling things on Ebay, I think you have to register yourself as a seller. There should be a link on there that tells you how to go about it.

I have a question...Now I know all of yall have seen the "Dancin' in the Street" video. Someone told me they saw Robert Townsend and Keenen Ivory Wayans in the audience, but I always seem to miss that part. Exactly when are they shown, during whose act? If it's during Mary and Martha's performances, I can see why because I always fast forward past them. The reason I was asking is that "The Five Heartbeats" are on TV right now...and I thought it was very interesting that a few years after the "Dancing in the Street" concert that Robert T. saw, he made a movie about a fictional black singing group who rose to fame in the 1960s and follows their history up until the early '90s...very much like our Classic 5. But of course I know it wasn't entirely about the Tempts, but a combination of stories about different groups in that period.

Be back later!

Hey BP, that's a good question about where Keenan and Robert are shown in the Dancin' video. You know Lynnie had to hip me to Robert.

But as you say, if you skip through Mary and Martha, then you miss Robert altogether. However, Keenan is shown again during Eddie and David's performance. I want to say it's when David is doing that My Girl medley (not sure); but I think it's during some slower tune like that or Just My Imagination.

I NEVER KNOWN THAT KEENAN AND ROBERT TOWNSEND WAS IN
THE AUDIENCE! THE STORY OF THE FIVE HEARTBEATS IS
BASED ON THE R AND B GROUP THE DELLS WHO HAVE BEEN
2GETHER FOR 50YRS.IN FACT WHEN U SEE THE ENDING
CREDITS YOU WILL SEE THE GROUP1

Good morning, (((Eddiebody)))!

Guess what? I'm back at work...but I'm confined to desk duty. Looks like it may be this way for a while but at least I can still surf the net in the meanwhile. ;-) I also start my physical therapy today, so I'm on the mend. But it'll be at least two months or so before I'm 100% again.

I finished the Eddie birthday tribute page! I put everyone's posts on the page, and added a little music to read the tributes by. Check it out: http://www.ejk-online.com/ejkbday.html

Be back later!

I'd like to throw around the idea of getting signatures to propose a U.S. postage stamp in honor of Eddie Kendrick since it is over ten (10) years since he is gone. Would like to get some feedback on the idea' Thank you.

Hey (((Eddiebody))), thanks for the compliments on the birthday page but yall are the ones responsible for it coming to pass, so I have to thank YOU!! :-)

(((Fanta)))!! Long time, girl! Good to see you and I hope your holiday was wonderful as well!

(((Yinka))), personally, I would love the idea of having a stamp to honor our Eddie. It may be difficult because I hear thousands of proposals for commemorative stamps are submitted every year, and very few are considered. But nothing beats a failure but a try!

Oh, BTW, on Saturday I received my Eddie poster ad from '74 in the mail....and he just looks DELICIOUS! LOL. When I'm able to get around a little better, I'm going to have it laminated and it is going up on my wall right over my desk. So when I look up, I will see Eddie's sexy smile looking right back at me. ;-)

TTYL!!

Hey (((Eddiebody))), I'm typing this on my secondary computer because I am doing some freelance work on my other computer, so I will not be long.

(((BP))), I just wanted to say that the birthday page looks great. You really go good work! Also, I saw your post earlier about being back at work. Just do not overdo it. (I also surf the Net while at work. LOL) The last thing you need is a setback. Also, it is good that you started PT. That should really help.

(((Yinka))), I think that is an excellent idea about the stamp. If you need any help or suggestions, please let us know.

(((Fanta))), girl, where have you been?! Long time no "see."

Okay, back to work.

Talk to yall later.

Thanks to all those who considered the idea of a U.S. commemorative stamp for Eddie. It is not a single effort it is a collective effort. In other words collectively the idea can grow into a position of strength if we propose it to let's say the officials in his hometown Birmingham where a park is named after him.
