<<HI Eddibodie>> I hope everyone is enjoying New Years Eve celebration!!
Welcome Pastor J!! With the information <<BP>> has given you, you should not have any problems finding footage of the C5. I did not get an opportunity to see the C5 performed therefore I relied on this site to give me information on how to obtain footage. To date, I have 4VHS/1 DVD of C5 doing their thing!!!

Good look!!!

Happy New Year to all! Tonight I will celebrate at home, eating, drinking, watching TV and giving thanks.

The Lost and Found CD is the bomb. Love "My Pillow!" Eddie sounds so young and sexy on it. You've got to envy that pillow. Especially love the two versions of "Camouflage." You get to hear the change in Eddie's voice over the years from one version to the other. Note the change in lyrics between the two songs. In the early version Eddie sings, "They call me the joker because I'm so gay." The second version has him singing, "They call me the joker because I always play." I guess it wasn't too cool even back then (1967?) to use the "g" word.

Hey yall...quick post to tell yall that you can now post on the new board...give it a try and get a feel for it. In a few days we will be switching over to that board and this one will be locked. But we will still be able to look back over here and use this one for reference. Here's the URL:

http://thekitchen.conforums.com/index.cgi

Don't forget when you register, you're gonna get a password in an email. You use that to login, and if you want to change it (which I'm sure you will because it will be something crazy that you won't remember) go to the profile page and you can change it there. See yall over there and Happy New Year to (((Eddiebody)))!!

BP, I have a question regarding the new board. To register, its says to give username and password. Do I give the username I use on this board, or do I give a new name? I said I wasn't very adept at these things.

Hey (((Cherish)))! You can use the same name over there if you want, most of us already have. Like I said, they will email you a password that you can change, but you have to use that particular password just once to log in. After that, you can choose whatever password you want by going to the "Profile" page.

Don't worry, girl. All of us are willing to help you out! :-) If you have any more problems, just email me.

Happy New Year to every Eddie fan. You know, growing up in Detroit in the 60's and 70's, going to the "Motown Reviews" at the "Fox Theater", living minutes away from "Hitsville", and seeing them at clubs like the "20 Grand" makes me appreciate that much more the history in the making that i lived around. I can see Eddie and the Temps on stage now with their powder blue uniforms on breaking into "Fading Away" or "The Girl's Alright With Me". I have so many memories of those times.

In future messages, i would be honored to share with fans of Eddie and the Temps some personal 'Motown moments' that includes David, Melvin, Ron Banks of "The Dramatics" and more.
If ever you get the chance, listen to Eddie's lead on "You're Not An Ordinary Girl" or his rendition of Smokey's "You Can Depend On Me"; the first time i heard Eddie sing, ".....Depend...", i was blown away and still am whenever i hear it.

May God in Christ bless you all,
Nate "Boomer"

Hey BlackPrincess:
Thanks for the info on the videos. I will contact them today. The Motown jam at my house was such a success that that my in-laws even got in on the act and we are talking about doing this on a bi-monthly basis. My wife even suggested that we take a run to Detroit in the spring to visit the the "house" on Grand Blvd. For a Motown fan like me you know I'm in the next best thing to heaven.

On a closing note my oldest son and my baby girl both had me do repeats of "Eddie's Love." That was one of my personal favorites.

Happy New Year to all those who still remember and love the best music of our lives.

Good morning and Happy New Year 2004 to all (((EJK Fans)))!!

I am one of the unfortunate few who had to come to work today :-( but thank goodness things are slow and it's a Friday, so hopefully the day won't be too bad.

Hi Nate! We would really enjoy reading those stories about the Tempts back in the day. Unfortunately I was born too late and I missed the reign of the Tempts in the '60s but I can clearly see that they were untouchable back then. But I was there for Eddie's rise to solo fame, so that wasn't too bad. ;-)

Hey (((Eddiebody))), I need to know something, and be honest about it, because I always want to make this site comfortable for yall to post. Do yall prefer this board to the other "Kitchen"? The reason I'm asking is that not many of yall have posted over there, and I was hoping that we could have the same type of communication there as we do here. So yall just let me know, okay? :-)

(((Pastor J))), good to know your New Year's Eve went well! And you will love the videos. We talk about them a lot here, so you can jump right in. BTW, you might be interested in knowing that there is going to be a big musical weekend in Detroit the last weekend in April...it's going to include a tribute to Paul Williams. I am planning to go, as are some other PW fans from other boards. So you may want to look into it. I'll post further info on the board as it becomes available.

Be back later!

Hey (((Fanta))), to reply to a thread, you just click on "reply" and type what you want to say. If you decide you want to edit it, just hit "modify" and you can change it, then post. Or if you choose to delete it, you can do that as well.

All you have to do is post under the category that applies to what you want to talk about. If you want to discuss Eddie's solo career, then you go to "All By Myself". Or if you want to talk about his career with the Tempts or with David or Dennis, then you go to "What Love Has Joined Together". If you have a special memory of Eddie that you've never forgotten, then you can post under "Just Memories". If you want to talk about seeing Eddie on a video, then you go to "I've Got My Eyes On You". Or if you just want to holla at (((Eddiebody))), or if it's stuff that's not Eddie-related, then the "Something More" link is the place to go. The first category, "Let's Go Back To Day One" is really just to link to this board, so we can look back on whatever was posted here. I'm not deleting this board, but I do plan to lock it to prevent further posts. But I won't be doing that for a while. I want to make sure everyone is comfortable posting over there.

You don't have to wait for someone else to start a conversation on a certain topic, either, you can start one yourself.
