Local time is 14.45 - quarter to three in the afternoon, and the battery is now saying it has still got a third of its full capacity. It's down to 33%.

Tech Ed is a great place for testing a battery in a PC. I'm plugged permanently (more or less) into the wireless LAN here in Barcelona; and almost never can get to a power socket.

So this is a chance for the Centrino-based IBM ThinkPad X31 to show its paces. I've been using it since 8 AM, and the battery is down to 55% charge. It's now 12.45 here in Spain...
