Yesterday I called the hotel in Washington for the reunion and got one of only two rooms left. If your going to the 09 reunion better call for rooms. The web site said they will hold them till March or till they sell out. Sounds like alot planning on this reunion. See all of ya in April.

Shipmates,I got concerned when I read the message that the hotel was running out of rooms for the reunion. I checked it out with John Fuchs and he checked it out with the hotel. THERE ARE ROOMS, Call the hotel and make reservations; make sure you let them know you are with the USS Donner

Hello. I was wondering if anyone on here served with my father. His name was Harold Timus Sinck, but he always went by Tim. He served in the Navy from 1966 to 1968. I can't remember the exact dates he was on the USS Donner but I know he was definately there in 1967. My father passed away 5 years ago and he never spoke much about his military service. I would love to talk with anyone who knew him. Thank you.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone served with my Dad, Richard (Dick) E. Fisher. I beleive that he served on the Donner starting in 1945. My dad died in 2006. He always spoke of his time on the Donner, and I would like to learn more about the ship and her crew. I have some photos of my dad in his navy uniform (I believe that he was a S2, seaman second class?). I know that when ashore he worked as a cook. I’m not sure of his assignment on board.
