Take the kids to the Zoo, lose them...

Maybe a zoo isn't the ideal environment, but Logoland Windsor do something very low-tech but conceptually similar.

They give you a sticker to place on your child's clothing upon which you write your mobile phone number in case your child gets lost.

I think the idea is that park staff will then phone you and issue ransom demands for your children :-)

I'm far from convinced that if I were going to the Zoo, with a bunch of kids, I'd be interested in forking out extra money to have them all Bluetooth Tagged.

The original idea was to track your baggage as you arrived at an airport; but Bluetooth Inc seems to have failed to persuade airlines to part with the cash needed to buy the RFID tags and bluetooth infrastructure. Instead, its first sale is to a zoo, to track groups.

I think this is a way of selling the idea to other people. I mean will the zoo really cover its costs?
