Sold. Journalism is indeed the weak point of the web. If I see a copy I'll hazard a purchase and see what it's like.

I'm really looking forward to '30 Days of Night', the Writer and Directors current film 'Hard Candy' is in cinemas now.
Does anyone else watch, 'Entourage' any time I hear a discussion about anything Aquaman I can't help but laugh.
This post was edit due my growing dyslexic tendencies

Re: Mercy Reef.
This is the same WB that killed any chance of a TV series of "Global Frequency" because it got "leaked", and became a huge success?
They seem to have a huge chip on their shoulder with the "We are NEVER wrong. We will prove it by killing the projects we don't think will work, even if proved wrong" attitude.

30 Days of Night would almost have to make a better movie than it did a comic (not knocking the comic, but it did kind of scream out "this is only a comic because Hollywood won't buy my script"). I had heard, though, that the final script combined elements of 30 Days with its sequel, Dark Days, which has me wondering how that will work, exactly. It's still set entirely in Alaska, right? No Buffy-esque lovelorn vampires in LA?
Also rather glad to discover that Josh Hartnett is still actually alive. Somewhat less enthused, although less surprised, to discover the same about Melissa George.

I've seen both pilots (Aquaman and Global Frequency), and I gotta say, we're not missing anything by not having them make it to a series. Awful, awful, awful... *twitch*
On the other hand, I'm pleasantly surprised so far by Blade: The Series. It's more complex than the movies. Not hard, I know, but hey. :)

I think the difference with Global Frequency is that it was actually stolen from under their noses, and distributed far wider than they thought it would, and created a storm they'd rather not have happened.
So petulant Hollywood producer with wounded pride and nose out of joint = no iTunes Global Frequency.

Does make me wonder if anyone would buy *my* failed TV pilot over iTunes, though...

I would but I don't own it. It's one of those weird legal situations now. I own the IP so Film Graphics can't do anything with the pilot. Film Graphics own the pilot, so I can't use it in any way.

Gasp! New Disney animation! With good animators! And better yet, a Menken score! (Wait, that doesn't sound right.) A score by Menken! (Slightly better.)
Disney should so go the whole hog and just do an animated version of Little Shop of Horrors. I'd go to see it.

It was pretty inevitable that Disney would go back into traditional animation. And possibly advertise it properly this time around...

Square Enix sure do have the oomph to back a console/handheld, but... should they? We already have a DS and PSP. Microsoft's set to enter the water with the Zune. Apple will almost certainly start turning IPods into multimedia centres. There's been a lot of rumours that EA are going to enter the hardware game. The proliferation of soon-to-be hardware pushers is starting to look a lot like what's going on with MMOGs, with the eventual result likely to be a videogame crash on the scale of the early 80s.

Disney buy out the people who made Polar Express and Monster House? Why not just seal all the exits and set the building on fire? :)
