Eli -
Actually, I was thinking of something more along the lines of a Slashdot/Plastic user-moderated model. Not necessarily for BoingBoing (although sometimes I think it'd help) but for general use.

The cookies on many mac os x browsers get fussy at QT login, especially Safari. Other than that, I love it and use it when I teach.

Dan Z. ( /m5) While moderation has its uses, I don't think anything I've seen in boingboing quicktopic discussions warrants it. I spent two years moderating a Usenet group, because that group needed moderation. The trolls here should not be censored, just ignored.

QuickTopic really needs to offer some sort of moderation architecture.

Hmmm, I would say it bodes badly for QT's business model if a user like BoingBoing, who has used the free version dozens of times a day for over a year, doesn't see fit to go Pro.
Or maybe they're aiming it more at business use or something? What do I know?
Actually on second thought, the features offered in Pro aren't really tailored to the way BB uses it, I guess. Some features (like the intro) aren't necessary in this format, and others, (pictures) are potentially detrimental.

So, does this mean if we slag off QT in the QT forums, they'll cut us off?
I ask merely for informational purposes.
