This I promise. The day you return, people across the nation will take the day off work to celebrate your homecoming. All schools, government buildings and most businesses have decided to close in honor of your return. And if that's not enough, we have arranged millions of dollars worth of fireworks to be activated across the nation to guide your safe return.

Thanks Gomi-Child, "Random" user...pfft, right, Yuki, and Bookie. It was good times!
Mom, wow. That was actually a well constructed, and efficiently executed joke. Which leads me to wonder if maybe Dad wrote it? Particularly impressive is the usage of the verb "activated" on fireworks, that shows comedic word selection insight. (To give the joke some context to others, I'm arrive on the 4th of July, America's Indepdenence day (Nationalism Day?) and is also a National Holiday)
