I have not used Quark Express for several years and since have put new operating system on my computer. I use the identical layout for my books and like to just modify an old work to a new work. I can open up the old work but Quark will not allow me to "Save" changes or "Save As." What's the problem?

Delete pages you dont want and save the cover part as a new separate document and make your pdf from that file.
Or you could create a new document the size of the cover - then hold down shift and click on all the boxes you want to bring into your new document (or drag across them to select them) - while they're all selected hit ctrl g which will group them - you can then drag them into your new open blank document, do any adjustments and make your pdf from your new document. If you want to ungroup them click on them and hit ctrl u

I just started using Quark Xpress 7. I am working on a dust jacket for a book. The client would like to see a .pdf of just the cover. Is there anyway to make a .pdf of just part of a file?

My print preferences are somehow locked up in Quark Xpress 6. I can't get my bleed options or printer driver options to work, they are just faded in the background, and won't activate when I click on them. Any advice?
