Congratulations to those who participated at the FRAC Meet in Yuba City this past weekend. We had great swims!!!!

Our next meet will be this weekend at the Durham Invitational. This meet is full and entries are no longer being accepted. If you have not sent me your confirmation of entry please do so asap.

The next meet our team can enter will be the Gridley Invitational, scheduled for the weekend of June 26. All swimmers are invited and encouraged. (This meet offers the 500 Free on Friday night. I am strongly recommending that the swimmers who swim in group 4 sign up for that swim.)
This will be a fun meet, and it is close to home. Please sign up for the Gridley Meet at swimconnection.com. Entries will be accepted through June 18th. SIGN UP RIGHT NOW!!

Tri-Tip Dinner on Thursday. This is our primary fundraiser of the year. Please do everything you can to make this event a success.

Swim Families~ OUR TRI-TIP DINNER IS ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

Thanks to those of you who have turned in your ticket money. I have collected about half of the money so far. If you have money to turn in I will be at the pool tomorrow from 8-10am. If I have not heard from you by Friday, June 12th I will assume all tickets are SOLD and you will be turning in $100 to me. In other words, you are on the hook for 10 tickets :) Sorry, but the meat will be ordered tomorrow and we need to have a firm ticket count!

If you turn in un-sold tickets tomorrow you will need to make up your $75 (per swimmer) in another way (lap-a-thon, car wash) or pay the difference. Each ticket sold counts for $7.50 towards your fundraising commitment. 10 tickets = $75 in profit.

Also, tomorrow at the pool I will be posting a salad sign up sheet and a work schedule for the dinner. There are 3 time slots available for Thursday, June 18th. We will need slicers, prep people, servers and a clean up crew. You must be 14 years of age to help at the dinner. Please make arrangements for younger kids if you are working the dinner, as we cannot have them on site due to safety concerns.

I wanted to say a couple of other well deserved "thank-you's."
I want Andrew and Sutter, (who help coach Group 1,) as well as Amy, (who helped out with the 8-Un group,)to know how much their efforts are appreciated.
It is great to see older swimmers, who have come up through the program, show their desire to help our new swimmers as they are introduced to the sport of swimmg. I appreciate you very much!!
I also wanted to say "thank you" to Shelby Evans for all of her help tonight. I appreciate her willingness to help make tonights event a great experience for all of our swimmers!!

Swimmers and Families:
I wanted to let all of you know how excited I was to see your swims tonight!! I am very impressed by the progress that you are making!! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you to coaches Katherine and Katie for doing such a great job with our newer swimmers. Thank you also to all of you who helped out tonight to make the meet such an enjoyable event for our swimmers!

Julie, The dinner is NEXT Thursday but I am asking for ticket money by tomorrow to give us time to get the correct amount of meat ordered. As soon as I have a better idea of the numbers I will be putting together my worker list and asking people to make salads. I will post all that soon.

This new site addresses many of the shortcomings of the current system and we hope you will be pleased with its new features.

To sign up for meets on-line you must be a swimconnection member.
As a member you will have access to on-line meet entries, as well as on-line meet results and individualized progress tracking of your athlete.
To become a member:

Complete the registration form (team affiliation is PARA)

An Adobe version of the meet sheet will come up. Please read through the entire meet sheet. There will be info regarding the where? and when? as well as a list of events being offered at this meet.
Please select the events that your child will be entering, as you will need to know this info to register for the meet. If you are not sure what to sign up for, please ask your child's coach.

To Enter Meets on-line:

Select the meet you wish to enter (the meet you want is the FRAC age group open)
Click on Online Meet Entry
If you received your SN Registation card from Joan Hasek, use the number indicated on your child's card.
Your child must have a current SN Registration to enter online.
If you filled out a blue registration card when you signed up, your child may not have been processed yet and their # will not be current. Please check “ reg no pending?”
Then click the enter button. (Do not click on online swimmer registration)
Enter your child’s info and continue with meet registration.
Follow the steps to register for events. Enter your child’s fastest times in the events signed up for. If they do not have a time, leave it blank.

The first meet of the summer season will be hosted by the Feather River Aquatic Club out of Yuba City. This is a well run meet hosted by a local team. Swimmers who are looking to get their racing season started are encouraged to sign up for this meet. I will be in attendance and am encouraging all interested swimmers to sign up.
Entries are being accepted at swimconnection.com. If you need assistance signing up for this meet, please let me know a.s.a.p. as entries will only be accepted through the 4th of June.
