Swim Families the BBQ is set for June 1st at the pool. 6:00 p.m. at the park for the BBQ and please bring a dish for everyone to share, the team will bring the Hot Dogs and Lemonade......recreational swim for our families will be at 6:30 p.m.

Is monday june 1st still the first practice for level two swimmers in the morning? or should we have our kids wait until after the welcome bbq to start?

Yes, there is practice for group 2 on June 1st in the am.

Hey swim families~

WOW! Are your kids sleeping well lately? I know Trent has been sooo tired after practices that he is off to bed early (thanks, Brian!!) The mood at the pool has been fun but they are certainly getting good workouts.

First, I hope to see lots of you tonight at Izzy's between 4:00 and 8:00. Wear your Piranha shirts, if you have one!

Also, tri-tip dinner tickets seem to be going well. If you have not yet picked yours up, please contact me and I will get them to you. I will be collecting money on Friday, June 5th but if you have money earlier than that I would be happy to take it. Just call me (872-2406 or 521-5607) or email me (rochellegarrett@hotmail.com) to set up a time to meet. Remember, as a swim family, you are responsible for $75 in fundraising per swimmer (family max of $200). By selling 10 tickets you meet $75 of your commitment. They are easy to sell and we got lots of compliments on the food last year.

Finally, please be sure that all of your swim fees are paid for the season when your athlete gets in the water. I know it's not easy to come up with the money all at once but we must pay PRPD for the pool on June 1st, so it is crucial that we have all money paid in advance. Additionally we will not be able to pro-rate your fees. If you are planning a vacation during the season you will still need to pay for that time. This is true for most sports, as expenses occur whether you are there or not.

One more thing...FRAC Attack is now accepting entries at Swim Connection. You can register as "USA-reg # pending," as we sent the Sierra Nevada registration cards off last week. The meet will be Saturday-Sunday, June 13-14th in Yuba City at their new Gauche Aquatic Center. Nice facilities!!

can you please tell me what time group 1 will start on june 1st. I don't know what group Zoie Miller is in A or B

As of right now we are only planning to have one Group 1 session and it will begin at 9:15. If our enrollment increases significantly we will look at having a second session. Looking forward to seeing all of you the first week of June!

Swim Families~ It has come to our attention that another swim program has been calling some of our families and giving them information about swimming at Beyond Fitness. Please be aware that the Paradise Piranhas are NOT swimming at Beyond Fitness. Summer practices will begin Monday, June 1st at the PRPD Pool on Recreation Drive as scheduled. Hi, Does anyone know if their is a specific side that we are suppose to bring for the get together June 01?

The Welcome BBQ will be Monday, June 1st from 6-8. We will hold our parent meeting and BBQ at the Aquatic Park across from the pool. The pool will be open for swimming (with a lifeguard) at 6:30, so be sure to pack your suit.

Any side dish that goes with hot dogs is wonderful--chips/dips, salads, fruit, dessert. We will provide the hot dogs, fixings and lemonade.

Summer Swim Begins Tomorrow!

We will begin our Summer Season tomorrow, bright and early. Below are practice times for each group. Also, the Welcome Back BBQ will be tomorrow evening from 6-8 at the Aquatic Park. Please bring a side dish to share. Hot dogs with all the fixings and lemonade will be provided.

Reminder: All swim fees must be paid before your athlete will be allowed in the water. A limited amount of scholarship funds are available. Contact Joan Hasek at bjhasek@sbcglobal.net for details. Invoices will be available tomorrow at the pool.

Tri-Tip Dinner Ticket money will be collected on Friday, June 5th during all practice times. Remember, all swim families signed a commitment form stating they were responsible for $75 per athlete, with a $200 family maximum. (10 tickets = $75 in fundraising.) Rochelle will be contacting families that signed up to help with the dinner in the next few weeks.
