I've been using Crazy Browser which, sure enough, kills pop ups. Something like 3000 of them killed in the few months I've been using it. Among the casualties, the Super Flat site. Not a bad ratio.

hmmm. web seems to work for me. on a couple of the links I had to click a few times to get the popup to come up. (they are popups... so maybe your browser is set to block them?). so I had maybe an 80% success rate.
I agree that the Carver + Dick combo is an odd one.
probably my favorite Author X + Author Y smashup is the Chandler + Dick of Lethem's Gun With Occasional Music.

If I disinterred my paperback mold garden I bet I could come up with 6 blurbs minimum that say xxx is like a cross between Carver and Dick. Never did manage to conceptualize what that mongrel would be like, exactly.
Anyway, Super Flat Times sounds like just what I was hoping to find for my trip to Philadelphia.

It looks nice, but most of the clickable titles don't go anywhere. Maybe my browser is hosing the links.
