Bonnie, congrats on the job, though I don't entirely believe you on the lack of Lucas-related human prop folk at the soda machine. I mean it's common knowledge that random costumed people reinact random scenes from various Lucas movies while wandering about the hallways.
Glad that you're employed and good luck. Buy yourself a drink from me. Or two. I'll send you a check...or um...something like money. Like...say, a big package of those little Listerine Mint Strips. They're almost like currency!
:) Jeremy

Well, you are just too cute! I think we could be fabulous friends. Your life sounds super exciting these days, too, such fun jobs you have there! I have tried to get onto friendster myself but it always crashes or locks my computer up, damnit. Visit me sometime. (It's not an ad. I swear. I hate when people do that. Tricksters.) edna http://www.ednamillion.com

I can't believe someone landed a dot com (well, Lucas websites, a sorta dot com) job in the Bay Area, or anywhere for that matter. i think you're lying to everyone.

Congratulations on the cool job with a cool company! I hope you're having a blast. And it's really good to have you back online!
I'm sorry that you're separated from Sophie, but I'm sure you made the right decision. My wife and I are dogless for the same reason: much as we'd both love a one, a dog would be awfully lonely if it had to wait alone in our apartment all day. The forest is a lot more fun.

Hey Bonnie!
I've been reading your blog for sometime now. I'm glad to see that you're back and thriving!
Congrats on the job with Lucas Arts. My husband is a major Star Wars geek and he loves Indiana Jones.
Just a quick question, I'd like to get into the same kind of thing your doing. I have a degree in journalism and public relations. I was wondering if you took any computer classes or have a computer degree? Any advice would be helpful, because I really need a change!
I just turned 31 in May. It's not so bad. What's strange is the slow transition from "sweet-young-thing"-age to "MILF"-age. If that makes sense?
Cheers!

To Christine:
to answer your question about how I got into what I'm doing as a career, all I can say is write write write! Start your own online site and put your writing up there so it acts like an online portfolio. Then I would suggest that you start writing for local publications and zines in your area to get your writing resume started. Once you build up a pretty good body of published work, start pitching to the national magazines and Web sites.
If you want to go more into the Web design arena, go to your local community college and see what classes are being offered in HTML and Web design. I would also suggest learning Flash, because a lot of employers are looking for folks who have desktop publishing skills as well as animation and design skills.
Good luck! ;-)

Hey Bonnie, I was wondering...do you believe in fate, or destiny or things like that? I heard a rumor that you simply think things just "happen" because of earlier choices one may have made. Is that true?
And I heard you like to bowl? I personally go bowling when I get writer's block. Which basically means I bowl once a week. WHAT'S YOUR AVERAGE?
And did you meet any cool, interesting, and possibly cute people while working at comicon??
See you in March 2004.
- Your new friend.
