these people are frightening! for more info-- go to MSN.com or just search on Explorer and use search terms [americans hoping jerusalem] and then do a search on [americans hoping jerusalem perle]-- there's lots of good stuff-- did you hear the one about Richard Perle throwing monkey wrenches into the Clinton-Barak-Arafat negotiations (the Guardian UK)

Not to nitpick, but ... if you really think that all of the U.S.'s Christians oppose Middle East peace, then good title. If not then, well, demonization and stereotyping isn't always the coolest way to make a point.

Road map is a catch 22. Without Israel/Palestiniam agreement resulting in real peace Middle East can't be modernized; but without Middle East modernization, with your comsumption bath, hates and ressentments can't fall in oblivion.

you are absolutely correct about the current catch-22...there is a lot of economic depravation going on that adds to resentment...particularly the destruction of olive trees and other agriculture, the water situation etc. People are having a difficult time getting their basic needs met...unfortunately, this has come about by design and justified by zealots on all sides [americans hoping jerusalem]
