404s have become kind of an obscure gag form, a web genre
unto themselves almost. All we need now is alt.internet.webservices.file-not-found.fan.
Or perhaps their own Webby category.

For the record, my favorite 404 is still the one Homestar
Runner had a while ago.

Click on the "A.R.Cox 2003" link at the bottom, and it indicates there's a New York Times one as well. I'm not sure what the search terms for that are though.
