3 nanák 06-11-2003 12:06 PM ET (US)	Yes I have noticed that yesterday while printing some pages of my brochure. But, it still falls short of the windows printing speed. On windows I barely click print before I can see the printer responding. Also under windows pages print correctly, what gives. I use Virtual PC on my mac and used Windoze at my work to see the difference in speed between Windoze and Macs.
2 rg 06-11-2003 11:12 AM ET (US)	I have the same problems as you, with the same printer. Only i've put the max amount of RAM into the printer, i believe that's a whopping 16MB. Still the same problem. I can only surmise that it's the printer. Word docs print really fast. Sometimes PDFs print fast too, sometimes not at all. Sometimes PDFs go through the process of printing (according to my Mac) but only the first page prints. Many times Safari pages print VERY slow and sometimes not at all. As far as what i'm printing from Safari, sometimes MapQuest directions and sometimes things like order confirmations. Tried to print an order confirmation last night and the approximately 10 lines of text never would go through, just sat there in the queue as if it was printing. Very discouraging.
1 Richard Wolfert 06-11-2003 11:04 AM ET (US)	I am having some problems (at times only) printing some Safari pages or .pdf documents (new iMac, 1 gb RAM, using 10.2.6). Most safari pages print, but, at times, as do many .pdf pages, but they sometimes hang or take a verrrrrrry long time to print. Everything is hooked up via ethernet in my home network (with a cable modem). I still use my trusty (old) LaserWriter Pro 630 with the stock amount of memory. Could this be the only culprit? If it's just a matter of memory, I'll get more. But, if it's the printer's processor slowing things down, I'll have to wait for another printer. Thanks, Rich
