I returned to the US on July 4th once. My luggage was ripped open and stuff stolen out of it. Happy homecoming. Pffft.
Sorry you're leaving; hope I'll make it to Zest tomorrow night.

I think you're still of the age where it's not embarrassing to have to live with your parents--being a student and all.
I wasn't going to Zest, but maybe I'll drop in just to say "bon voyage."

Whoops. I failed miserably in managing my time last night. Bon voyage, anyway. Sorry I missed your last meet-up.

Yea too bad you weren't there, a lot of people weren't that I would have liked to seen :(, ahhhh well. We still have this weird virtual connection at least, don't we?

Do not despair. Kira just picked up a tent at the Good Will. You will have a roof (sort of) over your head and a car you can't drive because you have no insurance. Welcome home.

Sunny side up. I will not even have the ability to articulate my despair as instead of coming bi-lingual I have become non-lingual, being able neither to speak real English or Japanese now. You'll see what I'm talking about when I get back.

My welcome home moment: Waiting at the Horizon gate for my flight, and some college age folks come by and start in on sports conversations, crude jokes, wasteful fastfood related practices, and then just generally act like trashy commercially-minded, sexually drunken, teenaged Americans... except they were 21-25. I wanted to tap an airport offical and tell them I heard those kids had SARS. I'm home sick sick of home already. Avoid this country at all costs. Ok enough whining, I can't thank you enough for taking me around last week, I had so much fun, and learned alot. I hope you have a relatively easy transition, so as to make it bearable until fall '04! Until then, enjoy your little time left in Japan to the fullest.
