A t-shirt with advertising on it nonetheless, how about that?! Last fiscal year the USPS shelled out 43.6 mil on e-awards and gifts, to 185K employees. Items such as expensive watches, flat screen TVs, game systems, DVRs, cameras, etc. Hope you get to keep that t-shirt once the promotion's over.

WhooHoo! I got my Priority T-Shirt. They passed them out to the Regulars in the plant last night and then started passing them out to favored PTF's. Suggested we wear them Wednesday but allowed that they couldn't tell us what to do and how to dress. Glad to see the financial crisis is over. It is, isn't it?

ya people are going to wear them in the plants. you don't get one if it is your day off! a lot of good that will do! advertise to each other! why not place advertisements on the side of ALL postal vehicles?

feeling the love - got a "free" t-shirt advertising flat rate boxes that everyone is to wear on Wednesdays - sort of like a sandwich board ad?

/m2121 where are you getting it that the goal amount is what it costs to work the window? Ours are based off formula they use for plan and using previous year numbers to come up with that number. On our financial report (seperate then SSA) I was suprised to see they actually lowered total plan revenue goals from previous year (not much, but some) Have to disagree with it being a great tool for an SSA. A few weeks ago I worked the window on Saturday. My revenue was twice as much as the highest Saturday I had ever worked in 10 years and that includes Christmas time. Curiosity got me and I looked up the SSA expected goal. It was planned that I should have brought in three times as much, then my all time high. No rhyme or reason to these numbers. The only thing I see it useful for is a tool for the PM's to schedule more efficiently, but I don't see that happening either. If a SSA is working non-stop on the window, and tactfully upselling (I find I'm also selling to the people in line, as they are overhearing what I'm saying to the present customer) I can't bring in anymore revenue. You can't make people come in the door.

I have some uniform items to give away; 5 short sleeve, regular clerk shirts, 16 1/2, 3 medium short sleeve polos, one still in the bag, 3 gray trousers, 34-30 (no short people jokes!). I'll gladly send them COD, no checks please!

I think the SSA Daily revenue goal is a great way of visualing what we need to bring in to make our goal to cover our own wages/bennies. The report shows how many $$$ all clerks are collectively costing to work the window and how much $$ we need to bring in to make plan. It's better than hearing "we lost $1B dollars this quarter"....at least we have a chance to make goal before we lose money. we are the best deal in town, if we don't offer and explain our premium products and services we won't make the sale and it is a disservice to our customers who go to the competitors who do make the sale,

I am a PTF with about 12 hours a week. I used to be part time carrier on rural route. Our office is opening positions for part time carriers. Can I keep my current position and also carry routes?
