Commercial printing co. is currently recruiting for a Data Programmer. This temp to hire position is in the data processing department and reports directly to the Print Production Manager. Job description is as follows:

Summary:
Actively manage the entire software integration development process including: development of workflows and total solutions throughout the company. Will assist with the development and deployment of direct mail programs, development of database requirements for variable printing (VDP), process control systems and quality analysis as well as overall technical support for variable data print production. Must have a strong background in direct mail fulfillment, a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to make sound decisions within a complex printing environment and strong GMC PRINTNET background.

Responsibilities:
• Ability to work closely with Sales, Operations, and IT/Data departments to analyze current and future needs
• Demonstrated ability to interface with customers
• Excellent attention to detail and outstanding written/oral communication skills
• Familiarity with Internet-based protocols, products and services
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively with senior management.
• Proven track record of delivering solutions that work
• Knowledgeable in printing methods for digital and offset printing
• Performs other duties as assigned, which may be required to further support and focus on the future growth of the Company.
• Minimum 55 hour work week or as instructed by the General Manager.



Qualification Requirements –

• 5+ years experience in a production environment related to direct marketing, printing, publishing, mailing and/or data processing industries
• Extensive knowledge of MAC OS/Windows, Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design
• In-depth experience with variable digital print methodologies and applications such as GMC PRINTNET
• Extensive data processing background, including data conversion, and presort
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with software solutions for variable-data publishing
• 3+ years of postal software experience as well as experience working with USPS mail processes
• Experience in IT application management, consulting, software development and integration
