I am currently using the trial version of iView Pro 3. The pdf instruction manual does not seem to match the version of iView that I have; but with no real help within the program, they could at least update the manual. Let's say I have thousands of files spread around between two computers, and each with two hardrives. I want to locate a specific file to work on or print. How can iView show me where the file is? Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to visit this discussion. I actually fit in this category much more than you can know. Go to diovan htc webpage devoted to diovan htc. trazodone hcl webpage devoted to trazodone hcl. and have fun too!

iView Media Pro is absolutely, unreservedly, one of my favourite apps ever. Amazing productivity enhancer when it comes to managing very large amounts of images. Strong recommendation.

Sean,
I am not sure how iPhoto stores meta information for each file. Be sure to check around the Web site for iView Media Pro to see if someone offers tips for moving from iPhoto to the more robust iView MP.

Thanks, Rob, but the problem is all the "duplicates" that iPhoto has - each time to edit a photo. I am going to dig more into the import filters and see if there is a way to just get the originals or something.
Also, it doesn't seem that iView gets the extra info like keywords from iPhoto -I guess this stuff is saved in the database as opposed to the EXIV info or whatever.
Thanks.

Sean,
I didn't make this specific move, but I imagine it is a pretty easy process...just point iView Media Pro at your image library and import the images, and once you do that, decide how you want to organize your images going forward. What I do is create a Year folder in which there is a folder for each month. This makes it easier to archive my images, one month at a time...

Ok, anyone got recommendations for moving from iPhoto to iView? I have about 2000+ photos in iPhoto with keywords, etc. I haven't been able to find any good info online on how to do this.
Thanks, Sean

And you're in for a pleasant surprise with version 2.0. The beta is available now [rock steady] here http://www.iview-multimedia.com/beta/
I especially like the bigger thumbnails it is now offering, plus an even more intuitive interface.
