Honestly, I found this a slight bit questionable, if not down-right offensive to many people. Stuff like the supposed toilet practises of African people is simply not necessary for this subject matter. Most of the other stuff is pretty damn funny, though.
Just remembered that my Dad received a letter with the exact same Scam some 10 or more years ago. Sure I kept it...somewhere...

I agree. There are tons of scams from every country, why do we need pile on Africa, a country that continues to get the sh-t end of the stick from the international community. Further, it seems this space (with the african's picture) was also recently occupied by a picture of a black baby that was part (yes I went to the link when it was up) of a larger (admittedly harmless) joke. What's up with Karen and black people and jokes? Is she also one of those people who goes around using hip hop slang/ebonics in an ironic way to kind of derisively make fun of black culture? i.e. "What's up, Yo. Hee, hee...!" The only reason I raise this kind of stuff is because, as much as I like BoingBoing, there is a dearth of positive stories/links about people of color, so such instances like those above kind of jump out at you. I realize Karen can be considered "a person of color" but as a person of color myself, I don't think this automatically makes her someone who wouldn't do engage in the kind of behavior I suggest. Otherwise I think Karen rocks, but she needs to lay off black for a while, it doesn't play well.
