Here's the thing, We all know how mail gets from point A to point B. The top managers at the USPS don't understand that when it's 30 degrees and raining they call us and we get the mail delivered not some software program, not some rah rah save your sick leave campains but us the working men and women of the United States Postal Service. UPS has it right thier management has to do time on the trucks. This gives them a perspective that USPS mgrs have no clue about.

Jimbo, as cheap and bad as these spotters are I think they're still more comfortable and easier on the body than the Mack cab over. I was getting a back problem from them. I miss the freedom of being out on the street, but I certainly don't miss those cab overs and the health problems they were giving me.

It’s a computer problem Jimbo, the electronic accelerator is malfunctioning and sending an overload signal to the computer which then shuts down the engine to protect itself from blowing up. I experienced a similar problem on a Freightliner I was driving a few years ago. The electronic accelerator had to be replaced twice until they got a good one. Resetting the computer won’t solve the problem.

Check th is out guys:

Postal Service Can't Account for Millions, Audits Say

The U.S. Postal Service can't account for at least $33.4 million in facilities-repair and vehicle expenses last year because of weak controls and lax oversight, two reports from the agency's inspector general's office said. The Postal Service couldn't assure that any of the $27.6 million in maintenance and repair expenses at facilities examined by auditors were used for that purpose, according to one of the reports posted on the agency's Web site. Some supervisors weren't aware that they were responsible for overseeing expenses, that audit found. Other employees with limited knowledge of the repairs certified that they were properly done by contractors.

The Postal Service said it will keep the LLV another eleven years. Where are the parts coming from now,China. It would behove the USPS to buy the machinery back and set up its own parts operation. Make the parts in America, rebuild each LLV as it was set up to do at 12 years. In America the VMFs know thier product better than anyone. Stop taking the safety of the carriers for granted by outsouceing.

Hey Philly, Read the messages, I was replying to a message from someone using the name "Con-tractors for Dan". And I am an MVS Driver in Phoenix, an APWU member with a steady schedule, and benefits. The Dan mentioned in the message is an MVS supervisor in Phoenix who is retiring.

Learn to spell Woodrow. Contractors is one word. That is why you aren't a MVS driver with a steady schedule and APWU benefits.

Hey Con-Tractors,

I see they have posted Dan's position for bid. That salary range can't be right, my wife makes more than that. That must be the base range, before factoring all the graft you take in from Matheson and other contractors.

Tell him how can you fight HCR's. Because if you ask for a comparison. The postal service is throwing all kinds of BS into the pot. It must be some type of training MVS Craft Dir. go though. I hear the same gutless words " Dont Rock The Boat!" What the fudge? When I filed a class- action grievance on the 90/10 maximinzation.(53 reg to 16 PTF) Craft director threaten to fire me as a shop steward.

Happy retirement Danny boy you weasel. Here's to hoping you die the next day before you can take that new job you probably set up with Matheson.
