Its good to hear that the union is sending a team out to look at the operations. I hope they can make some changes that help saves jobs and produce new jobs.

This may be really good for those HDS Drivers. My dad used to be one of them when i was a child and i learned from him so many things about cars and no car agent can fool me now. Every friend that wants to buy a car comes to me to find the best offer.

What a shame the Atlanta APWU has abandoned the VMF. Don't need the votes don't care about their problems

And Fed Ex Ground can not be unionized either! They have a law for it!

Fed ex ground drivers are all contracted to Fed ex. Its like the HCR system only they have benifits. Fed ex ground is different from the rest of FED EX . I will just wait see what happens. SJ consulting might help the APWU or USPS HQ on the union members money.

The guy who runs SJ consulting firm started RPS which is now Fed ex ground. This don't sound good for the union MVS drivers. This company is giving advice on how to run the network for the APWU. I could be wrong, but it looks alittle fishy to me.

I will take a drug test every day if they like. You must mean the clerks, mail handlers, mail carriers and most definitely the supervisors.

It will be interesting to see what SJ consulting firm reports back to the APWU. I guess if the apwu needs to take them to court again this will help in the case for the members.

It means serious SUBSTANCE testing may be required at HQ like for MVS.

Is this just something that USPS HQ is doing to make people upset in the MVS craft, and nothing will happen like California MVS, or is this all just rumors about 162 PVS sites?

The only way to beat this is to take it to federal court. In 1970 congress set this up so there would be no strikes and upper management is not honoring the contracts. So it would need to be settled in federal courts on the basis that we would not strike and give us our jobs back.

Funny thing is we have a driver that wanted to transfer up there and they said they had no openings. But yet they are severely understaffed and has tons of overtime and that is the reason they lost their tractor-trailers routes. They were set up to fail by the Post Office.

Has Portland Oregon MVS been downsize to driving 11 tons or 7 tons on their routes ? They said that management contracted the tractor-trailor part out to Dill trucking.
