First of all, Lester Chambers is not obscure. He's front and center. I will write more at a later time, but for now I want to say how appalled I am at the actions of the record companies for music that is so vital to me.

This is a terrible thing to hear about.
Most artists don't have all of their releases , let alone foreign releases and promos etc.
The fact that it has taken Mrs Chambers so many years to gather all of these releases and rarities and then have some theif take them just like that is bloody heartless.
Now poor Lester Chambers and his wife will just have to start all over again to try and collect these gems .
Where does one start ?

The Chambers brothers never got their due from Columbia and "Time" made a lot of people rich except for The Chambers Brothers.

Its like having salt rubbed into an already deep wound that was kept open for a lot of years.

If a collector has recieved these records that belong to Lester Chambers , it is hopeful that he will have the decency to give them back to their righful owner.
Otherwise what goes around will come around !

To the theif 'Your Time Will Come"

Seems unusual that a thief would steal old 45s, especially for a relatively obscure artist like Lester Chambers. Makes one wonder if it was a 'steal to order' for a client who knew about the collection and wanted it themselves.

Or...for the complete conspiracy theory: the post suggests that Ms Chambers has an ongoing action against Columbia for unpaid royalties, and that the collection embodied much of the proof. Perhaps Columbia made the arrangements...

Terrible. GEMM does have a good mix of "Chambers Brothers" but that foreign stuff sounds tougher.
