In 1953, "How to Marry a Millionaire" debuted in the theaters with a gorgeous Marilyn Monroe wearing cheap eyeglasses. Her character, Pola Debevoise, preferred bruises and walking into walls than wearing her frames - thus making cheap eyeglasses seem nerdy and un-hip. In the 1970s Elton John seemed to make eyeglasses cool again but mostly for those who like outlandish, loud, bedazzled cheap glasses.

Al, thanks for mentioning that. In order to get links launched from other applications to show up in a new tab rather than a new window then I had to revisit my preferences under General and click to open links from other applications in the current window, rather than sticking with the default of opening in a new window...

Hmm..when I click on a link in NetNewsWire Lite, it opens the page in a new tab.

Ed, I am using the new beta version now and have it set as my default for now. It seems fairly speedy and the way that Apple has added tabs is done really well. I wish it would open links sent from external sources like NetNewsWire in tabs rather than new windows, but otherwise it feels pretty good after the first few hours of use...

Probably the most frustrating remaining bug for me is printing. I have been trying to print a web page (3 pages long) for over 40 minutes. So far only one page has printed.
Still, tabbed browsing and autofill make this a much better version.

Rob, an FYI for former Camino users going to Safari. Safari does not read your existing Camino keychain items. Camino stored internet passwords as "internet" passwords. Safari calls them "web form" passwords. You will have to clean duplicates in your keychain. Edited 04-14-2003 12:58 PM

Rob. Great update. There is one small bug remaining. When you close the next to last tab, the browser window does not go back to it's orginal size. Other than that small item, I am afraid Camino has been bumped down for me. How do you like it? Edited 04-14-2003 12:27 PM

Looks great! It now allows me to use my online banking at 100%. The optional tabbed-browsing is a win-win for everyone. Looks like Safari can now be my full-time browser.
