Of course, it's got more draw for the younger demographic if the Glacier is actually from "Outer Space" and is actually just trying to communicate with the lost Ice sheets from the previous Ice Age. :)
Here's a preposterous idea - A team of scientists travels to the centre of the planet to "restart" it after a Government weapon goes awry and stalls the core.
Hmmm... Naw.... nobody would -ever- buy that script.
