I actually turn NNW off when I am working on an extended project because 1) it is distracting to see the news streaming in and not be able to read it right now, and 2) NNW still slows down my machine enough that it can be a problem with the work I am doing. I have also opted not to have NNW download news on launch and I switch to download manually when I am on the road... 1 James Spahr 04-16-2003 01:34 PM ET (US) I just keep NNW on manual. When I want to read some news I hit the 'refresh all' button. I maybe do this 4 or 5 times a day. (sometimes less).
